Leon Early Watlington Jessup was born into this life on February 28, 1921 in Guilford County, North Carolina to the late Ralph, Sr. and Jane Watlington. Surrounded by family members in her home, as she would have it, she peacefully took her Master's hand and transitioned from her earthly home to her heavenly home on April 10, 2015. Homegoing service will be held at New Faith Baptist Church at 1:00PM Friday, April 17, 2015, Rev. B.R. Holder, officiating. Family hour will begin at 12:30PM.Leon was educated in the Guilford County School system. She held several jobs once children were all in school but dedicated most of her adult life as a housewife and mother.Leon was preceded in death by her husband, Ansley Marshal and son William Marshall, three sisters and two brothers. Leaving to cherish the memories of her love are Bobby Lee Roger (Patricia), Nancy Jessup-Speights, Peggye Frazier (Herman), Ernestine Craig (William), daughter-in-law, Doris Jessup and 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; one sister, Shirley Carrington; five sister-in-laws and a host of nieces and nephews.Thank you Hospice Palliative Care of Greensboro, and her primary care providers, Naomi Wright and Wanda Hatcher for the love and attention they shared with her.
