Mrs. Lauretta Moore was born in Robeson County, North Carolina, on September 13, 1927 to the late William and Nacy King Sinclair. She was the youngest of three children, brothers Wilbert (deceased) and Jack (deceased). She was united in marriage to the late Leroy Moore; to this union was born one son, Reginald Moore. In her early years, she was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Taylorsville, North Carolina. She attended Shaw University, Raleigh, North Carolina, where she earned a Bachelor's Degree. She also earned a Master's Degree from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. Mrs. Moore was also a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. and taught school in Lenoir, North Carolina and Greensboro, North Carolina, teaching at Peck and Caldwell Elementary schools. She retired after 30 years of service. Mrs. Moore attended Trinity AME Zion Church where she was a faithful member and served in the church until her health declined. She leaves behind one son Reginald Moore of Greensboro, NC, a devoted grandson, Reginald L. Bennett of Greensboro, NC, a nephew Robert G. Sinclair, Sr., (Lois) of Burke, VA, three nieces Robbin Walker (Greg) of Orlando, FL, Cheryl Sinclair of Valencia, CA and Frances Leake of Fredericksburg, VA, special cousins, Fredrick Lang (Annie) of Greensboro, NC, and special friends, Helen Hill and Minister Kelly Hill of Greensboro, NC and a host of friends and relatives.
