Mr. Lanny Roger Donnell, Sr. passed away Friday, April 21, 2023.

A service honoring his life will be held Friday, May 5, 2023 in the Cassie Coote-Brown Memorial Chapel of Perry J. Brown Funeral Home; 909 E Market Street. Greensboro, NC. The visitation will start at 11:30 am and the service will follow at 12 pm. The Burial will take place at Mt. Zion Church.

Lanny Roger Donnell, Sr., lovingly known by his friends and family as "Apple Jack", departed this life on April 21, 2023. He was born in Greensboro, North Carolina on June 5, 1949 to the late Delores Donnell and Willie Womack.

Lanny attended Guilford County Schools and earned his high school diploma from Page High School.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Teresa Donnell Lindsay, Larry Donnell, and Keith Donnell.

Those left to cherish his memories include his sons, Lanny Roger Donnell, Jr. (Mary) and Elliot Ross (Ashley); his brothers, Roland Womack (Teresa), Alton Womack (Georgiana), Willie Donnell (JoJo), Michael Donnell, Sr., Gary Donnell, Mark Donnell, and Thomas Donnell; his sisters, Debra Sibley (Ronald), Nancy Donnell, Angelia Donnell, Cathy Donnell Banner, and Melanie Donnell Gill (Jeff); his loving aunt, Queenie Donnell Bell; his long-term care giver Felicia Ford, and his six beautiful grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.emetery 1422 Huffine Mill Road Greensboro, NC.
