Mr. Kevin Carlton Blount was born in Norfolk, Virginia to the late Ronald Edward Blount, Sr. and Rosa Lee Wade Blount.  He departed this life suddenly on Wednesday, February 28, 2018. Kevin moved to North Carolina to get married and start a family in 2007. He had a big heart and always there when you needed him with a smile. He loved R&B music, and family was everything to him. He will be missed.  The joy of his life will always remain in the hearts of his loving wife: Denitra Blackmon-Blount; daughter: Malayah Blount; stepdaughter: Mahogany Blackmon; Mother Rosa Lee Wade Blount of Norfolk, Virginia; Charles Wade & Michael Blount both of Norfolk, Virginia; Ronald Blount, Jr. of Riverdale, Georgia; sister: Shenita Wade of Norfolk, Virginia; nieces, nephews, and a host of cousins and other relatives and friends.    A service honoring his life will be held at The Cassie Coote-Brown Memorial Chapel; 909 East Market Street on Wednesday, March 07, 2018. The visitation will begin at 11:30 am and the service will follow at 12: 00 pm.
