Karen Diann Clyburn age 59 of Greensboro, North Carolina, dearly beloved mother, sister, auntie, and great aunt, peacefully departed this life on the morning of December 23, 2018. She spent her entire life nourishing and loving her children, grandchildren, along with other family and friends.

Karen was born April 27, 1959 to James R. Clyburn of Lancaster, South Carolina and Mary M. Clyburn of Kershaw, South Carolina. The family moved to Greensboro when Karen was two (2) years old.

Karen attended Ben L. Smith High School, and later pursued a degree in Business Management from Guilford Technical Community College (GTCC), where she was an honor student and on the dean's list.

Karen was employed at Clyburn Concrete (family business) for over fifteen (15) years as the Administrative Assistant. She later was employed by The Telephone Center as an Operator, until an illness kept her from working.

Karen leaves to mourn, children: Stephannie Clyburn and Nekita Clyburn (Tim); special nephew and son: Nicholas Clyburn; grandchildren: Na'Juan Clyburn (whom she cherished) and Laila Jones (whom she adored); siblings: Richard Clyburn, James H. Clyburn, Melissa Arrington, Jammie Clyburn (Moria), Sharon Thacker (Kress), Valerie Sinclair (Bernie) and Charmisa Sinclair; a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A service honoring her life will be held Saturday, December 29, 2018 in the Cassie Coote-Brown Memorial Chapel of Perry J. Brown Funeral Home; 909 E Market St. Greensboro, NC. The visitation will begin at 3 pm and the service will follow at 3:30 pm. The interment will take place following the service at Piedmont Cemetery in Greensboro, NC.
