Judy Ann Price Sessoms was born in Pittsboro, North Carolina, on June 1, 1946 to Robert S. Price and Daisy Mildred Brooks Price. She was the second of four children, and the only daughter. She was raised in a loving family in Siler City, North Carolina and grew to be a poised, promising young lady. Upon graduation, Judy married Frederick Webb, Jr., and moved to Washington D.C. Their union created two precious daughters, Debbie Marlene and Judy Ann 'Wyndy'. Judy later relocated to Greensboro North Carolina attending North Carolina A&T State University. She believed that "in all things...do it to the best of your ability, be consistent, thorough, and impeccable, even if no one is looking". Her mantra to her girls was 'do this for yourself, because it is the right thing to do.' Knowing she was setting an example for them, she tenaciously set out to complete her education, earning her undergraduate degree in Business Education and her Masters Degree in Media Education. Family was always a priority for Judy. She cherished Sunday family time and looked forward to helping her father; affectionately known as 'Big Daddy', prepare Sunday dinners in Siler City. While attending North Carolina A&T State University, she made lifelong friends who were invited into the family, often sharing Big Daddy's Sunday dinners. His sweet potato pies often made their way back to many dorm rooms. She had a long and successful career. She had expertise in Human Resources, Project Management and Leadership, Systems Applications, and Research Analysis. She worked for many Fortune 500 companies including IBM, AT&T and Lucent Technologies. On October 25, 1986, Judy married Arnold Ray Sessoms and they made Jamestown North Carolina their home. They were great friends, She and Ray enjoyed traveling and spending time with her children and grandchildren. It is often said that being a grandparent is a double blessing from the Lord, and Judy believed that wholeheartedly. She was extremely proud of her grandchildren, and sought every opportunity to be with them. She traveled to Maryland and Atlanta, to simply spend time with them, hugging, kissing them, and especially spoiling them. Gigi as she was affectionately known, was a loving and doting Grandmother and was adored by her grandchildren. Judy loved the Lord, and studied his Word, completing a global seven-year bible study program. She enjoyed it so much, that she re-enrolled for an additional six years. Soon thereafter, she was re-baptized. Judy made many friends over the years, and touched many people's lives with her "humorous" quick wit, and no non-sense approach to life. Judy was affiliated with several organizations. She was a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, The National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women Club, as well as a local chapter of "The Society". On September 11, 2016, our hearts were broken, as Mom was called home to be with the Lord. Judy was preceded in death by her husband Arnold Ray Sessoms, her parents Robert and Daisy Price, brother Wallace Edward Price and nephews John Robert Price and Edward Colby Price. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Debbie Webb Hardee, and Judy Ann "Wyndy" Webb; Grandchildren: Madison Drew Hardee, Michael E. Hardee, and Ian K. Doanes; Brothers Bobby S. and John Terry Price, nieces Melissa Price and Dorian Price McLean , nephew Josef Price, as well as a host of treasured family and friends. The visitation will begin at 1:00 pm and the service will follow at 2:00 pm.
