Joseph Howard Davis, son of Nancy Longmire and the late Joseph Davis, passed away Nov. 7. He was the beloved second son of his parents, a cherished father and grandfather, and an adored brother and uncle. Joe (aka Joey), as he was called by family and close friends, was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, and grew up in South Philly. Joey was loved by all for his powerful loving spirit, his handsome smile, and his good-natured personality. Joey was educated in the Philadelphia public school system, served his country during a brief military career, and worked as a welder for most of his adult life. His down time was spent with friends and family. When he wasn't laughing and joking he was playing cards. His favorite was poker. Joey leaves to cherish his memories, mother: Nancy Longmire; his siblings Chester, Theodore, Orlando, Anna, and Arlene; six daughters: Tanya, Martillia, Josette, JoVonne, Jennifer, and Vanessa; 11 grandchildren; all his nieces and nephews; extended family: Victor, Brey, and Bryant Dalton whom he loved as sons; and a host of loving family and friends.
