GREENSBORO â?? Jerry Cooper Martin departed from this life Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital, Greensboro, NC. He was born in Paint Rock, AK on October 31, 1924 to the late Malcolm and Cornelia Martin of Harriman, TN. He was raised by Malcolm and Maggie Martin (step-mother). Mr. Martin leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Gertrude Agurs Martin; two sisters, Margie Johnson and Maxine Martin, Harriman, TN; brother, Melvin Martin; six children, James Irvin Brock (Sudie), Theresa Brock, Betty Brock Coe, Shirley Brock Best, Cora Martin Shaw, Cornelia Martin Powers; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be Saturday, March 10 at Perry J. Brown Funeral Home at 1 p.m. Visitation at 12:30 p.m.
