Mr. Jerry Jefferson was born May 18, 1945 to the late William Jefferson and Sallie Nicholson in Chesterfield, SC. Jerry attended SC public schools and afterwards became captain of educational patrolman. He moved to Guilford Security Agency and retired from there after many years of service. Jerry had a love for music. He loved to sing and also play the guitar. . In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by two sisters, Edna Hillan and Sarah Kelly; four brother: Lindsay Jefferson, Captain Jefferson, Sears Jefferson, and John Jefferson; nephew Jeffery Jefferson Sr., two great-nieces Renae Nicole Foster and LeShalashan Jefferson.

Mr. Jerry Jefferson went home to be with the Lord after fighting a long illness and transitioned on Sunday November 25, 2018. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife Emma Jefferson, daughters Nicole Pettiford (Anthony), Valeria Jefferson, 5 grandchildren: Joel Pettiford, Seth Pettiford, Timothy Aikens (Candance), Mahogany Aikens, TyMiah Aiken; two great-grandchildren and one on the way; a brother Howard Jefferson and sister Kathleen Jefferson, 5 nieces, 3 nephews, 11 great-nieces, 16 great-nephews and a host of relatives and friends. Also, a very special friend Mr. Charles Philps.

A service honoring his life will be held Saturday, December 8, 2018 in the Cassie Coote-Brown Memorial Chapel of Perry J. Brown Funeral Home; 909 E Market St. Greensboro, NC. The service will begin at 2 pm.
