It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for her life that we announce the passing of Janel Benton, a devoted follower of Jesus Christ, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Janel departed this life to enter eternal rest on December 9, 2024.

The family will receive guests at 515 Lima St., Greensboro, NC 27406. Services for Janel will take place on December 16, 2024, at The Magnificent Reid Memorial CME Church, 1010 Bennett St., Greensboro, NC 27406 . The family hour will begin at 12:30 PM, followed by Janel's Homegoing Celebration.

Burial will follow at Carolina Biblical Gardens 5710 Riverdale Drive Jamestown, North Carolina.

Her life was a testimony of faith, love, and service, and her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
