Mr. James McKinley â??Patâ?? Stamps silently ended his earthly journey on May 8, 2014 at 2:30pm at Moses Cone Hospital. James was born June 6, 1928 in Caswell County, N.C. to the late William Stamps and Dona Simpson Stamps. James moved to Greensboro, NC at an early age. He later joined the East Market Street Seventh Day Adventist Church where he met and married his first wife Lucy Bynum Stamps, along with his parents and first wife.  James was preceded in death by one brother Charlie Stamps, three sisters, Rosa Wallington, Hazel Neal and Lucy Jones. James is survived by his wife Harriet Donnell Stamps, two sons John David Stamps (Teresa) of Greensboro, N.C. Bruce Donnell (Jewell) from Indianapolis, IN.  One daughter LeNora Donnell from Greensboro, N.C. six grandchildren, two sisters Jennie Totten, Eden N.C. , Leona Henderson Charlotte,  N.C. a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends; and a special neighbor and friend Lona Maxine Hinnint.
