Iris Willis Copeland, daughter of the late Naomi P. Willis and Paul F. Willis Sr., was born January 1, 1946. Following a period of illness, the angels were dispatched on the morning of June 24, 2014 to relieve her of all pain and suffering. Iris was a native of Guilford County and a resident of Greensboro, North Carolina. She was a graduate of James B. Dudley High School, Class of 1964. Iris was a retiree of Lorillard Tobacco Company. She was a member of Hayes Memorial and also Ramah Restoration Outreach Center. It goes without mentioning that Iris was a loving mother, grand- mother, sister, aunt and friend to many. We will forever cherish and miss her presence. Iris was preceded in death by her parents; siblings: Norris L. Willis, Barbara L. Willis and Robert L. Willis: son: Michael L. Copeland and nephew: Chad Willis. Surviving relatives left to cherish her memories are: daughter-in-law: Iris L. Copeland; grandson: Christopher G. Lawson; brother: Paul Willis, Jr.: nieces: Leslie Hampton, Lynn Willis and Sharon Willis; nephew: Chris James; grand-nieces and nephews; great-grand nieces and nephews; special cousins: John Dean Willis and Linda Dickinson; and a host of other special family and friends.
