GREENSBORO â?? Mrs. Helen Elizabeth Maynard Staton, 84, passed Sunday, July 8, 2012 at her home. Services will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 12 at Genesis Baptist Church, 2812 E Bessemer Ave. The family will receive visitors and friends at 6 p.m. also at the church. Interment will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 13 at Lakeview Memorial Park. "Ms. Buie", as she was affectionately known, was born July 13, 1927. She was a retiree of Schiffman's Jewelers. She was also a local caterer. Survivors are six sons: Norris Sr., Charles Jr. (Beverly), Franklinton, NC; Kenneth (Portia), Keith, Columbia, SC; Terry, Michael (Sherry) Staton; five daughters: Elizabeth S. Redmond, Catherine, Nancy S. Hines (James), Frances S. Jackson, Darlene Staton; 18 grandchildren; great, and great-great grandchildren; one nephew: Charles Taylor Jr.; and two nieces: Catherine and Charlene Taylor. Perry J.
