Hattie "Nana" Mae Lloyd Bracken, was born on November 19, 1946 to the late Willie James Lloyd and Alice Bright Lloyd, in Bennettsville, South Carolina in Marlboro County. Hattie attended Greensboro Public Schools and graduated from James B. Dudley High School class of 1964. She attended Maco Beauty College and graduated class of 1965. Hattie joined Mount Zion Baptist Church and remained an active member for over forty-five (45) years until her health began to fail. She served on the usher board, the hospitality ministry and numerous other ministries in the church. Hattie worked numerous jobs, including Burlington Coat Factory, AMP, Lorillard and retired after many years from Aramark. Hattie enjoyed helping young people and for many years was a foster parent. Her favorite hobbies were gardening and interior designing. She loved beauty and surrounded herself with flowers and decorative beauty in her home. Hattie was preceded in death by three (3) sisters: Sarah Catherine Bright, Linda Lloyd, Yvonne Smith and a son: Jeffery L. Bracken. Hattie leaves to cherish her wonderful memories, son: Ricky Lloyd (Tiffany); daughter: Carla Lloyd; sisters: Arnisha Little, and Wilamenia Cheryl Montford; brother: David Lloyd; special nieces: Tina Little and Candace Bracken; a very special cousin: Patricia Womack; aunt: Helen Bauchum; grand-sons: Frederick Crawford, Jr., and Devontae Harrington; grand-daughters: Sania Shirri Lloyd and Tomika Kelly; great grand-daughters: Angelito and Maria Kelly; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
