Ms. Gloria Henderson passed away on October 4, 2021.

Gloria Jean Henderson was born July 19,1933 in Dallas Texas. She attended Girls Polytechnic High School in Portland, Oregon. After high school moved to Bremerton, Washington where she met and married Willie Martin.

She eventually moved back to Portland, Oregon and went to work for Montgomery Wards and Pacific Northwest Bell Phone Company. She also worked at Qwest Dex as a Graphic Coordinator for 31 years. She was a recipient of a Fellowship grant from The Communication Workers of America for Labor Relation training.

Gloria liked to travel and also liked bowling.

Gloria was a member of the Sanctuary Choir at Providence Baptist church.

Gloria leaves to cherish children Willie Earl Martin, Gloria Martin, Carolyn Martin, Shirley Wilson, grandchildren as well as great grandchildren.

A Service honoring her life will be held at Providence Baptist Church 1106 Tuscaloosa Street, Greensboro, NC 27406 on Sunday October 17,2021. The visitation will begin at 12:30pm and the service will follow at 1:00pm.
