With deep love and cherished memories, we celebrate the life of a devoted son, father, grandfather, veteran, and friend.

Gerald proudly served his country in the United States Navy before dedicating more than 20 years of service to Gilbarco in Greensboro, where he was known for his humor, strong work ethic, and commitment. He was also a proud graduate of Dudley High School, Class of 1988.

His greatest joy was his family. He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved mother, Beverly Price; his daughters, Malia Matthews, Germonie Kershaw (William), and Jamiah Woodson; grandchildren, Kawainui Matthews, William Kershaw, Kalena Nichols, and Kekoa Nichols; his loving aunts, Phyllis Fuller and Delphina Byrd; devoted cousin, David Fuller; very special friend, Wanda McDowell; along with a host of extended family members and dear friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.

Though his earthly journey has come to an end, the love he gave, the lessons he taught, and the memories he created will continue to live on through all who knew and loved him. His legacy of strength, service, and unwavering love will never be forgotten.

Funeral Service will be held Saturday, July 11, 2026, 12pm at Cassie Coote Brown Memorial Chapel at Perry J. Brown Funeral Home 909 E. Market Street Greensboro, NC 27401.
