He departed this life on September 13, 2011 and transitioned into eternity quietly.George graduated from Church Street High School, where he excelled academically and in sports. He attended Winston-Salem State University after which he was inducted into the United States Army. He completed his call to duty as a Specialist E5.George was devoted to Inner Growth Ministry Outreach where he spent his last years as an Elder and Minister Welborn of Breath of Life. He was a good husband, a caring friend and a great companion during his marriage. His marriage of twenty eight years was spent in endless time together with his wifeâ?¦so their beginning became their ending.George leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Linda C. Welborn; daughters, Lisa Jackson(Troy) and Portia Howard (Jan); brother, John Welborn (Jewell); grandchildren, Minister Shaque Livingston, Marquis Livingston, Elijah Jackson; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
