Mr. George Johnson, passed away July 17, 2023 at his residence.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 1, 2023 12 pm Cassie Coote-Brown Memorial Chapel at Perry J. Brown Funeral Home 909 E. Market St. Greensboro, NC. 11:30 am Visitation.

Burial will follow at Salisbury National Cemetery Salisbury, NC.

George Johnson was born on December 18, 1947 in Birmingham, Alabama. At the age of twelve, George moved to Spring Valley, New York where he attended Spring Valley Junior High School and Senior High School. George left school and joined the United States Army where he served for four years. After serving in the Army, George moved to Greensboro, North Carolina. He enjoyed all types of technology equipment.

George is predeceased by his mother, Bernice Johnson and his three brothers: Lawrence Johnson, John Johnson, and Sylvester Johnson.

He leaves to cherish his memory his brother: Anthony Johnson; his nephews: Lawrence and Jason Johnson; his special cousin: Ronnie Jones; and a host of other relatives and friends; Betty, Chris, Duncan, and Mrs. Jo Hill and family.
