Frances Elizabeth Bradley Craven, the daughter of the late Rev. Frank Bradley & Ada Bradley was born April 22, 1937 in Coatesville, Pa. She was the sixth of seven children. Her siblings Louise, Dorothy, Viola, Joyce & James all preceded her in death.
Frances graduated Coatesville High School in 1955 and later move from Coatesville Pa to experience the world as a military spouse in which 2 sons & a daughter were born. Her 2 sons Charles R. Conaway & Michael David Conaway preceded her in death
Frances love for children lead her to becoming an educator in Greensboro, NC. She retired in the early 2000's but still continued her service for children, church and community. Her service for the Lord was unyielding. Frances was the Lead Advisor for the Christian Center Stage Drama Ministry, the Praise Team, The UnitedVoices of Praise Choir and a member of Ward 6 with United Institutional Baptist Church. One of her most cherished moments was directing the Glory Train revisited play at UIBC. She was a loyal supporter of the Armed Forces Retiree Club, loved bowling, entertaining friends & family, playing cards and greatest love for her dog 'Frankie.'
On Sat February 19th, 2022 at her residence in Greensboro, NC, Frances departed this earthly life to be with the Lord surrounded by Family and LOVE.
Frances leaves a legacy of fond memories & love to her surviving husband Louis L Craven of Greensboro, NC, her brother Sharone Bradley of Greensboro, NC and her daughter Cassandra (Charles) Wimberly of Fayetteville NC, nine grandchildren: Tamika (Michael) White of Maryland, De'Koaven Stanley of Fayetteville NC, Romain (Courtney) Stanley of Clayton NC, Danielle Conaway of Greensboro NC, Michael Conaway Jr. of Greensboro NC, Myesha Conaway of Greensboro, NC, Tion Conaway of Greensboro NC, Charles Conaway & Brittany Jones of Greensboro NC & eleven Great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins & very special friends.
A service honoring her life will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at 11:00 am at United Institutional Baptist Church, 802 E. Market Street Greensboro, NC 27401. Visitation will begin at 10:30 am.
Public viewing Wednesday, March 2, 2022 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm Cassie Coote Brown Memorial Chapel at Perry J. Brown Funeral Home.
Interment will be at Salisbury Veteran's Cemetery 1:00 pm.
