Mrs. Faye Laverne Valentine, passed away Monday, May 22, 2023. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, May 30, 2023 6:30 pm Cassie Coote-Brown Memorial Chapel at Perry J. Brown Funeral Home 909 East Market Street Greensboro, North Carolina.
Faye was my cousin but more like a sister and I loved her dearly. She was the one who would talk to me in witnessing about God. She had a passion for evangelizing and being a Christian example to others. She was compassionate and giving, always willing to help whenever and wherever she could. She was a good daughter of God and a faithful servant. She exemplified a life of belief and a true dedication to follow Christ. Faye will be greatly missed. When someone is ill for a very long time as she was, it hurts to think there's nothing you can do to make the situation better, so while our loved ones are alive, we pray for their healing and recovery or that the medical staff will care for them in a loving manner as we would. But when our love one passes, you experience an emotional hurt that can't be easily expressed because you recognize the reality and realize their life here is truly over, never to see them again. Suddenly a flood of forgotten memories comes to remind us of times and things we did together, causing us to grieve and long for them even the more, but death is a destiny we all will meet. God however promises to never leave or forsake us, He will always be available for us to lean on Him. So, take hold to God's Word, He will comfort and strengthen us as we bereave our loss and He'll be there in the coming days ahead. I can hear Faye shouting now, "HE'S MORE THAN ENOUGH!", that was her motto.
Although Faye's life has ended on this side, her soul is at peaceful rest and has now crossed over to the other side of eternity, forever in the presence of the Lord. For this reason, we can be thankful to God for His great love. He sent to us the Savior Jesus; He is the only Way we obtain access to our Heavenly Father. All Praises are due to God!
