GREENSBORO â?? Mrs. Evelyn Marie Thompson Shaw died Thursday, November 15, 2012. Born in Orange County, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late James and Mamie Thompson. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 64 years, Elton E. Shaw. Surviving relatives who shall cherish her memory, include: children, Linda Whites and Leon Shaw of Greensboro, Donald Shaw (Loylene) of Atlanta, Georgia, Ken Shaw (Janice) and Larry Shaw of New York; four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday, November 19, 2012 from the Sharpe Road Church of Christ, 2400 Sharpe Road. Interment will follow in the family plot of Lakeview Memorial Park. The family visitation will Monday from 12:30 p.m. until 1 p.m. at the church and may be contacted other times at 2003 Darrin Drive. Her remains may be viewed Sunday afternoon at Perry J. Brown Funeral Home, 909 East Market Street.
