Frencher, Sr. Officiating~Obituary~Mrs. Evelyn Hariston Phillips departed from life on June 10, 2012 at Moses Cone Hospital.Evelyn met and fell in love with Mason Phillips. They dated for three (3) years before marriage. This union was blessed for forty-six (46) years. Evelyn taught at Browns Summit Elementary. Even after retirement she still believed in the education system and encouraged the youth to pursue higher learning. She loved to spend hours playing her piano.Evelyn was a faithful member of Trinity A.M.E. Zion Church for many years. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure of meeting her. Mason, her husband, preceded her in death. Evelyn is survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
