Evelyn â??Jeanâ?? Braddy Jones was born in Lincolnton, North Carolina on November 09, 1935 to the Late James Leonard Byers and Future McClain-Braddy. She departed this life surrounded by family as she entered into glory on October 05, 2012.â??Jeanâ?? grew up in Greensboro, North Carolina, attended David D. Jones Elementary, J.C. Price Jr. High and James B. Dudley Sr. High schools. After graduation she worked at Greensboro Manufacturing for a number of years. She continued her education in the nursing field where she worked as an LPN at several assisted living homes until retiring. â??Jeanâ?? was preceded in death by her beloved mother: Future Braddy (2008); daughter: Jeaneen â??JJâ?? Jones (1990); brother: R. Wayne Braddy (2009); and grandson: Jimmy â??J.R.â?? Clanton (2007).Left to cherish her memories is her loving companion of more than thirty (30) years: Mr. Guss Peay, Jr.; children: Rev. Charlene L. Cummings (Vermonte) of Cornelius, NC; Mr. Charles S. Jones of 29 Palms, California, Mr. Levi D. Jones, Jr.; and a special loving god-daughter: Ms. Janet W. Williamson. She is also survived by five (5) grandchildren: Yvonne (Anthony) Hall; Charles S. Jones, Jr; Dominic (Kishon) Jones, Joshua Jones and Levi D. Jones, III; six (6) great-grandchildren; three (3) children that she loved as if they were her own: Mrs. Susan (Elder Ray) King; Darlene Peay and Elder David L. Peay. Because of who â??Jeanâ?? was and much more, because of WHOSE she is, she leaves to mourn a host of friends and families that she shared her unwavering love, and will greatly miss her presence.
