Eugondia "Annette" Peele, 70, passed away on Friday, May 16, 2014 in Kindred Hospital in Greensboro, NC. She was born in Washington, North Carolina to the late Frank Burgess, Jr. and Lendora Peele. She graduated P.S. Jones High School in 1960 and went north to work and live. She has lived in Norfolk, VA; Manhattan/Bronx, NY; and Lawrenceville, NJ. She completed the arc of her journey by returning home to Washington, NC in 2006. Before Kindred Hospital, she was living in Autumnfield assisted living in Pinetown, NC. She was preceded in death by her two sons Rashee Peele (2012) and Joseph Peele (1978). She is survived by one son, Jonathan Peele of Princeton, NJ; and a host of relatives and friends. Viewing will be conducted Thursday, May 22, 2014 from 10am to Noon at St Luke Church of Christ, 1281 S. Asbury Church Road, Washington, NC. A Funeral service will be held after the viewing at noon. Burial will follow at the Peele Cemetery off Griffin Beach Road. Reception at St Luke Church of Christ will follow the burial.
