Etta Mae Murray was born at old Richardson Hospital in Greensboro, N.C. September 23 1957 to the late Julia Mae Murray and James Hope departed this earth March 13 2017. As a native of Greensboro NC, Etta Mae attended Grimsey High school where she met many lifelong friends and later attended GTCC. Etta Mae was preceded in death by her mother Julia Mae Murray, father James Hope, and son Wandell Murray. She leaves many to cherish her memories, five children all of Greensboro Addell Murray Salathaniel Murray, Etta Jones, April Jones, and James Murray. Three sisters Dorothy Young, Zera Mae, and Angela Murray. Six grandchildren: Jeremiah Jones, Zackaria Jones, Cambry Taylor, Lacamia Taylor, Joesich Jones, and India Lipscomb, and host of nieces, nephew, and friends including a special friend Aronita Alston. She was a wonderful and caring Mother, Grandmother, and hard worker. She worked as a custodian at Heartland Living & Rehab Center of Greensboro where she was consider the best worker and she was well liked among her peers. She would give all she had to the community and work. She had the spirit of going the extra mile to help someone. She loved to cook big Sunday dinners her favorite dish was homemade chicken pot pie.
