Ethel graduated from Forest Hills High School in 1980. She would later attend Laguardia Community College where she received her degree in Human Services. During her fifteen (15) years tenure at Macy*s she was often awarded the "Diamond Star" for her hard work and success. She was known to her co workers as "the bubbly girl.â??Ethel had a very warm and loving spirit, her smile was contagious. Ethel enjoyed the holidays, especially Christmas. She always emphasized the true meaning of Christmas, the union of family. And family was most important. Not one birthday, holiday or celebration went by without a card, heart felt gift or special phone call. Some how someway she would make something from nothing.Ethel was very spiritual and was always fascinated by angels. Now she is one of our angels that left a piece of her love embedded in all of our hearts. She will truly be missed. She is survived by her two (2) sisters; Ms. Janice Rice and Ms. Deborah Franklin, one (1) brother; John Emory Franklin III , one (1) sister-in-law Jamie Franklin , two (2) Aunts ; Dr. Ethel Franklin- Taylor and Emma Jean Moreland ,one cousin ; Petey Franklin , four (4) nieces ; Shanasia Franklin , Nicole Virella , Kaloni Franklin and Jocelyn Rice as well as a host of extended family and friends.
