Pass, II, Officiating~Obituary~ Esther Margaret Chapman (formerly Nichols), 62, a resident of Greensboro, North Carolina, died on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at Moses Cone Hospital. Her husband and three children were at her bedside when she died. She was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy C. Desroe.Mrs. Chapman was born on November 22, 1949 in Roxboro, North Carolina to James Earl Nichols and Bernice Mangum Nichols. She graduated from Person County High School in 1967. In 1969, she married John J. Chapman of Kinston, North Carolina. She graduated from North Carolina Central University in 1983 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She completed her Master of Education in Special Education from Grand Canyon University.Mrs. Chapman worked for the Guilford County School System as a teacher at Allen Middle School in Greensboro, North Carolina, and Penn Griffin Magnet School in High Point, North Carolina. She was dedicated to her students. Her fellow faculty members remember her as â??selfless and warmâ??.Mrs. Chapman is survived by her husband: John J. Chapman; son: Jonathan; two daughters: LaShaunda Croussore and Bionca Huntley; three grandchildren: Julian, Jonah and Audrey; four brothers: James E. Nichols, Jr., Jerry D. Nichols, Billy M. Nichols, and Orlando M. Nichols; two sisters: Brenda L. Nichols and Joyce A. Robinson.
