Reverend Essie Smith Jarrell died on Saturday, April 30, 2016. A service honoring the life of Reverend Jarrell will be held on Monday, May 9, 2016, at Trinity A.M.E. Zion Church, 631 East Florida Street, Greensboro, North Carolina 27406. The visitation will begin at 11:00 am and the service will follow at 12:00 pm. The interment will take place at Lakeview Memorial Park.
