Edward was born on September 7, 1930 to the late Walter and Ruby Shealy in Dadeville, Alabama. Edward joined the Pine Grove Baptist Church at an early age. Upon returning from serving in the Korean War, he met and married Emma Tanner Shealy in 1955 and moved to New England. There, they had three children and joined Macedonia Baptist Church where he served as a faithful trustee. After twenty-seven years of employment with Pratt and Whitney United Technology, he retired and relocated to North Carolina to be closer to his children.He leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Emma Shealy; son, Edward S. Shealy of Greensboro, North Carolina; daughters, Rhonda Shealy Gunn (Ronnie) of Charlotte, North Carolina; and Pamela Shealy of Greensboro, North Carolina; brother, Carey Shealy (Annie) of East Canaan, Connecticut; seven grandchildren and two great-grand children; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
