Mrs. Dorothea Gunn, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2024 at Beacon Place.

Dottie has gone home to be with the Lord. She is predeceased by her husband: Talbert Gunn; her mother, Flossie Lash Brooks; her father: David W. Brooks; her sisters: Lavie, Suddie, Vicki; her brothers: Ted, and Peco. She is survived by her devoted sister: Cynthia Brooks Gladney; her attentive brother: David F. Brooks; and her nieces and nephews, with whom she enjoyed very special relationships.

Dottie excelled in her profession as a nurse. Earlier in her career, she worked for the Exxon Corporation in Springfield, MA. Because she loved family gatherings, Dottie was always in charge of the entertainment. Having attended North Carolina A&T State University in 1960, she always displayed her Aggie Pride! We Miss You. We Love You.

A Memorial service will be held Monday, June 17, 2024 1:30pm Cassie Coote-Brown Memorial Chapel at Perry J. Brown Funeral Home 909 East Market Street Greensboro, North Carolina.
