Dionne Fronia Brown was born March 9, 1978 to Willie, Jr. and Janice Baldwin Brown in Washington, D.C. She transitioned to her heavenly home on October 23, 2015 at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, N.C. Dionne attended Holy Comforter St. Cyprian in Washington, D.C. until her family relocated to Greensboro, N.C. She continued her education in the Guilford County Public School system and graduated from Ben L. Smith High School in 1996. Dionneâ??s great love for children and her passion for learning led her to continue her education in early childhood development at Guilford Technical Community College. She worked as a teacher assistant at The Sunshine House, Jeff and Jess, New Garden Academy, Babyâ??s World, plus several other childcare organizations in the Greensboro area. Dionne loved being around senior citizens and learning from their vast knowledge and experiences. She loved all animals, cats, horses and especially dogs. Dionneâ??s religious upbringing began at an early age in Washington, D.C. She was a member of Salem United Church of Christ under the spiritual nurturing of Reverend Anthony Farrar. She joined Mt. Carmel Holiness Church in Reidsville, N.C. under the guidance of Pastor Shirley Richardson. She later transferred her membership to Faith Tabernacle of Praise under the leadership of Bishop Willie R. Pearce. Although she faced many challenges during her life, Dionneâ??s faith allowed her to conquer each challenge with confidence and graciousness. She perseveredâ??always came out with a smile and never complained. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents: Arthur and Ophelia Bryant Brown; maternal grandparents: George and Fronia Pierce Baldwin; uncles: Bobby Bunch, Randolph Baldwin and George Ralph Baldwin; aunts: Ernestine Brown Walker, and Wanda Baldwin Hamilton. Left to cherish her precious memories, parents: Willie and Janice Brown of Greensboro, N.C.; sisters: Kimberly Brown-Hamilton and Candace Brown of Greensboro, N.C., and Juanita Neal (Curtis) of Maryland; nieces: Kandace Brown, JaNiece Brown, and Autumn Young; nephews: Malik Hamilton, Jermaine Young, and Robert Young, Jr.; a special canine companion, KJ; aunts: Joyce Boyd, Tanya (Herbert) Ruffin, Fronia Delilah Chambers and Lillie Brown; uncles: Earl Hamilton, Glenn Russell Baldwin, Benny Baldwin and Ronnie Baldwin; great-uncle: Prentis Brown (Sarah) and great-aunt: Lurena Pierce; a host of cousins and friends; personal assistant and confidant: Mark Brown and her best friends for life, Artisha Coleman, Robert McCain and JaNiece Brown. Services for Ms. Brown will be held at the Perry J.Brown Funeral Home Chapel, 909 East Market Street, Greensboro, NC 27401.The visitation will begin at 1:30 pm and the service will follow at 2:00 pm.
