Mrs. Dianne Cooper Russell, daughter of the late Bishop Leroy and Pauline Cooper was born August 1, 1953, in Greensboro, NC. She departed this life on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at Hospice and Palliative Care Center of Alamance-Caswell after a lengthy illness.
Dianne attended the public schools of Guilford County. She took classes at UNCG, GTCC, and the North Carolina Computer Institute prior to employment at AT&T. She was employed with AT&T for 18 years. She received many certificates from training and furthering her skills while employed there.
Dianne was united in holy matrimony to Zear Russell June 30, 1979. They made their home in Brown Summit, NC.
She confessed her faith in Christ early in life. She joined Open Door Fellowship and served as a volunteer for the Boys Scouts Troop #447. She later joined Love and Faith Christian Fellowship Church under the leadership of Pastor Thomas where she remained a faithful member, until her declining health, prevented her from doing so.
Dianna was a devoted mother and wife. She loved her husband, Zear, and adored her son, Credell aka 'Sweet Pea'. Her hobbies included making personal greeting cards and crocheting.
Her beautiful life will be forever cherished by her husband Zear Russell; son Credell Cooper; brothers Leroy Cooper Jr. Billy (Mildred) Cooper, Jerome (Charlyn) Goode all of Greensboro, NC, and Emerson (Charlene) Fisher of Fayetteville, NC; sisters Paula Dixon, Glenda Cooper all of Greensboro, NC, Yvonne (William) Elliot of Fayetteville, NC, and Dorothy (Clarence) Woodard of Dunn, NC; brother-in-law James (Sharon) Russell of Savannah, GA; sister-in-law Lily Williams, Faye King all of Brown Summit, NC, and Brenda Russell of Savannah, GA; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Dianne was preceded in death by step-mom Olivia Cooper; brother-in-law Paul Dixon; sister-in-law Patty Cooper.
The service honoring her life will take place on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at Love & Faith Christian Fellowship; 4344 Blackberry Rd. Greensboro, NC. Visitation will begin at 11:30 am with the service following at 12 pm.
