Cora Lee Arnette Ford departed this life on Friday, July 24, 2020. She was born in Robeson County to the late James P. Arnette and Mrs. Bula F. Arnette Buck on August 5, 1930.

At an early age, Cora became a member of St. Paul AME Church. Cora graduated from Rosenwald High School in Fairmont, NC. She then earned a cosmetology license from Maaco Cosmetology School and attended Fayetteville State University in Fayetteville, NC. Cora Lee was married to William Clarence Ford. To their union was born a daughter, Vanessa Gail Ford, and a son, Ronnal Vante' Ford.

Cora and William moved to Greensboro, NC to raise their family and became members of Providence Baptist Church. Cora was a devoted wife and mother.

She is preceded in death by her husband, William Clarence Ford. Her beloved daughter, Vanessa Gail Ford Lowery died only two days after her mother.

Cora Lee leaves to cherish her life- her son, Ronnal V. Ford (Debra) of Greensboro, NC; son-in-law, Clifford Lowery of Charlotte, NC; two grandsons, Ronnal Ford II of Greensboro, NC, William C. Lowery of Charlotte, NC; a granddaughter, Sheila R. Jenkins of Greensboro, NC; three great-grandchildren who she enjoyed spending time with; Ian Jenkins, Aeon Horne, and Journey Horne; one sister-in-law, Mazel Arnette; and four nephews, Ronald M. Arnette, Cornell W. Arnette, Robert L. Arnette, and James K. Arnette, along with a host of relatives and friends. A private joint service with her daughter, Vanessa Ford, will be held on Wednesday August 5, 2020 at Guilford Memorial Park.
