Constance Dilworth went to be the Lord on Monday evening, October 15, 2018 with her husband Arthur Dilworth Sr. by her side at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, NC.
Constance was the third born of William Cummings and Elgie Hocker Cummings in Newark, New Jersey on March 25, 1933.
In her early childhood, Constance moved to Gibsonville, North Carolina where she attended the public schools in Sedalia. She joined Saint Paul Baptist Church in Greensboro, North Carolina. She was preceded in death by her parents William Cummings and Elgie Hocker Cummings; sister Eunice Cummings, sister, Mabel Cummings; son, William David Dilworth(Boo). She married her husband Arthur Dilworth Sr. of 66 years on August 21, 1952 in Whitsett, NC
She was a Deaconess, member of the Jubilee Choir, Pastors Aid, Assistant Sunday School Teacher for young adults of Saint Paul Baptist Church during her tenure.
Constance Dilworth left to cherish her memory, her loving husband, Arthur Dilworth Sr. of Greensboro, North Carolina; daughters Annetta Dilworth Anderson of Greensboro, North Carolina, Rev Dr. Sylva Dilworth Medley and her husband Rev Russel Medley of Morgantown, West Virginia, Connie Dilworth Tillman of Greensboro, North Carolina; sons Arthur Dilworth Jr. and his wife Olga Crawford Dilworth of Winston Salem, North Carolina, Michael Dilworth, and Marvin Dilworth of King George, Virginia; nieces, Carlita Claire of Orange, New Jersey and Dorothy Benita Claire of Lithonia, Georgia; nephew Nelson Claire of Cincinnati, Ohio; eighteen grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
A special thanks is extended to co-workers and other friends.
A service honoring her life will be held Friday, October 19, 2018 at Saint Paul Baptist Church, 1309 Larkin Street in Greensboro, NC. The visitation will begin at 11:30 am and the service will follow at 12 noon. The interment will take place following the service at Lakeview Memorial Park; 3600 N O' Henry Blvd. Greensboro, NC.
