Frencher, Sr. OfficiatingCodella Rodgers Foust was born on May 26, 1917 in Pittsboro, North Carolina to the late John Henry and Agnes Alston Rodgers. She entered into eternal rest on November 9, 2011 at the age of ninety-four (94). She was preceded in death by her husband, Hurley Foust; brothers:Roscoe, Robert Allen, Charlie, Alton and Johnny; sisters: Claudia and Tener Mae.At an early age, Codella, her siblings and parents moved to Siler City, North Carolina where they farmed. She attended and graduated from the Chatham County Training School. Later she relocated to Greensboro, North Carolina where she met and married Hurly Foust in 1950 and then began a long period of great joy as she watched and helped rear their daughter, Brenda and one granddaughter. Watching her four great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter grow brought her immense pleasure. As an active member of Trinity A.M.E. Zion Church, she served faithfully on Stewardess Board No.1, the Trinitarian Club and the Usher Board until her health began to decline. Codella had a long and endearing relationship with the John Boren Family which lasted for more than fifty (50) years.Among the many things that Codella enjoyed were participating in activities with her dearest friends in The Goodwill Social Club; traveling with family and friends brought her great pleasure, too. She was known for her hospitalityâ??serving a delicious home cooked meal which usually included her favorite macaroni and cheeseâ??to all who entered her home. Just sharing God's love with everyone she met brought her peace and contentment. Codella's genuine caring attitude made it very easy for her to relate to people of all ages. The young and old enjoyed "chatting" and visiting with her. She was such a lady with so much wisdom and spirit.Codella leaves to cherish her memories, a loving and devoted daughter, Brenda (Morris) Dillard; granddaughter, Sharon (Marshall) Kleckley; great grandchildren, Morgan Ashlye Peel, Wesley David Peel, Lacee Danielle Peel and Kendra Lyric Peel; great-great granddaughter, Renee Jordan Payne; twenty-two (22) nieces; sixteen (16) nephews; thirty-nine (39) great nieces; forty-three (43) great nephews; a host of other relatives and friends.
