Mr. Clyde Austin Orr, passed away Saturday, March 14, 2026 at Wesley Long Hospital.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 25, 2026 12 pm Cassie Coote Brown Memorial Chapel at Perry J. Brown Funeral Home 909 East Market Street Greensboro, North Carolina. Visitation 11:30 am.

Clyde Austin Orr age 83, passed away on March 14, 2026. Clyde was born in York, South Carolina to John and Maggie Orr. He lived a life rich with stories, laughter, and love. Known for his love of classic VW cars, airplanes, hot air balloons and repairing his favorite Porche, he had a gift of making his family and friends smile, laugh and cry with contentment. 

He is survived by his wife, of 57 years, Frances Orr, his children, Channing Orr and Douglas Orr, his grandchildren, Dhruba Nyabinghi, Anthony Nyabinghi and Austin Orr plus his great grandchildren, Ahmad Nyabinghi and Kairo Nyabinghi. 

He was cherished beloved and admired by many, Clyde was always quick with support, fatherly advice and strong guidance. He is truly then and now, the GOAT of our family.
