On the morning of Friday, March 8th, 2019 God called home Clifton Johnson, he passed away at the age of 90, at his home surrounded by his family. We celebrated his birth on August 25, 1929 (born on March 2, 1929). He is survived by his loving wife and best friend Edna Johnson of 70 years of marriage and their five children: Lt. Col. Girard Johnson, Mark Johnson, Sharon Lee, Sheila Robinson, and Ron Johnson (preceded in death by son Lt. Col Wendell Johnson). He was a loving father, proud Navy veteran, avid golfer, active church leader and the best granddad to several grandchildren. He was The role model for fatherhood to not only his kids, but grandkids, great -grandkids, nieces, nephews, cousins and anyone he ever met. Funeral services will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, 1315 E. Washington Street, Greensboro, NC 27401 on Thursday March 14th, 2019 at 12:00pm. Visitation with the family begins at 11:30am.
