McCoy, PastorPresidingThe pilgrimage of life for Clifton Edward Brown, Jr., began on July 14, 1932 in Guilford County, NC. He was the son of the late Clifton Edward Brown, Sr., and the late Lula B. Brown. As the youngest child, Cliff was fondly known by his siblings and many others as â??Brother.â?? His life-long journey came to an end on Thursday, March 8, 2012, at the Moses H. During this period of time, neighbors were more like family. They knew each other. They looked out for each other. They helped raise each otherâ??s children. And, working together, they nurtured each otherâ??s spiritual growth and development. As a couple, their life was one of God-centered love, mutual admiration and genuine respect. Together they were the parents of two children, Anthony and Pamela. While living in New York, Cliff and his family were active with the St. Markâ??s Lutheran Church. In 2004, Cliff and Kathleen relocated to Greensboro from New York after 47 years. Upon his return to Greensboro, Cliff proudly reunited with his church family at Raleighâ??s Crossroad United Methodist. He was happy to be back at Raleighâ??s Crossroad and in the community where life began for him. In addition to his parents, Cliff was preceded in death by a brother, Lloyd Adams Brown; and a sister, Laura Mae Brown Wall.
