Obituary

Clark B. Denny, 70, peacefully departed from his earthly labor on Saturday, April 16, 2016 following a brief illness. Clark was born in Washington, D.C. on September 28, 1945 to the late Raymond and Julia Denny. He was the fourteenth of fifteen children. Clark spent his childhood in Falls Church, Va. At the age of fifteen, he relocated to East Orange, NJ. There he graduated from East Orange High School in 1965. He continued living and working there until he moved to High Point, NC in 1979, and then to Greensboro, NC in 1980. While living in Greensboro, he spent his professional career working at Gilbarco and then Greensboro News & Record until he retired in 2009. He later started his own company called JuliaRay Enterprises, which he took extreme pride in. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers (Harold, Frank, Raymond Sr., Clifton, and Norman) and his sisters (Vivian and Louise). He leaves to cherish his memories; sisters Beatrice Phillips, Carletta Arnette, Laurine (George) Henderson, Nancy (Floyd) Monroe, Clyde Miller, and Patricia Drayton; brother Donald (Phyllis) Denny; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and lots of devoted friends. A memorial service honoring the life of Mr. Denny will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at the Perry J. Brown Funeral Home Chapel, 909 East Market Street, Greensboro, North Carolina 27420. The service will begin at 11:00 am.
