Christine Elizabeth Graves Richardson departed this life on Friday, April 3, 2020. She was born January 20, 1941 in Rockingham County, North Carolina to Robert Lee Graves and Suella Scales Graves, both deceased. Christine was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School class of 1959 in Reidsville, North Carolina. Later in 1986, she attended Rutledge College where she received a Medical Office Administrative Assistant degree. She continued to work in the medical field at Moses Cone Health System and retired after 20 years of service. Soon after, Christine joined Garrett's Grove United Methodist Church in Gibsonville, North Carolina. There she served in different ministries of the church, from usher board to lay speaker and notetaker at meetings to name a few. She leaves to cherish fond memories her only son, Wayne Richardson of Greensboro, NC; one brother, Robert Lewis Graves (Betty) of Greensboro, NC; three grandchildren, John David Gilmore (Aisha) of Pittsburgh, PA, Sherita Gilmore Thomas (Tyrone) of Greensboro, NC; Shelvia Gilmore of Pittsburgh, PA; sisters in-law, Judy Graves of Browns Summit, NC , Vera Graves of Greensboro, NC; brother in-law, Robert Hardin of Greensboro, NC; seven great grandchildren, Tyrin, Joel, Azor, Amari, Chris, Isaiah, and Franklin; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
