Mr. Charlton Roderick Manuel passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2024.

Funeral will be held Friday, January 26, 2024 11am Providence Baptist Church 1106 Tuscaloosa Street Greensboro, North Carolina. 10:30am Visitation. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery 3910 Forest Lawn Drive Greensboro, North Carolina.

Mr. Charlton Roderick Manuel was born June 3, 1980, and departed his life on January 3, 2024. Charlton was born as a blessing to his parents Marilyn Blount and his father Charlton Manuel. He also leaves his son Lawronce Smalls, and sister Chantel Henegan (Jene).

Charlton was a happy, generous loving person always willing to help others, and rarely said no to others who asked him for help. He always had a smile on his face. He always spoke to family, friends, acquaintances, and strangers.

He attended Greensboro city schools; He was a member of Providence Baptist Church where he was baptized at the age of 9 years old. He was active in the Children's Choir, Boy Scouts, and Bible School for several summers, attended the SAT studies on Saturdays, and attended several summer school activities at A&T University.

He has gone home to be with the Lord, and to join other family members, his grandparents James and Florence Blount, Larry and Jean Davis, aunts Ruby B. Washington, and Arena B. Braddy, uncle Kevin Davis. He leaves to grieve : an uncle James R. Blount, Sr., Nichol Braddy, Marlon Braddy, Neiah Blount, and James R. Blount, Jr. He also leaves a host of cousins, family members and friends.
