GREENSBORO - Charles Ellis Greene, Sr. was born January 27, 1947 in Henderson County, NC. He died peacefully in his home on June 2, 2012. Charles graduated from North Carolina A&T University on May 14, 1972 where he received a Bachelor of Science in Social Work. Thereafter, he worker for Lorillard Tobacco Co. for over 20 years. He leaves in mourning his wife, Anna Couch Greene; sons, Charles E. Greene, Jr. and Donovan L. Couch, daughter, Ashleigh M. Greene; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, nieces, cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, June 9 at New Zion Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. William Wright officiating. Burial to follow at Guilford Memorial. Viewing of the body will be held on Friday, June 8 from 12 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Perry J. Brown Funeral Home.
