Catressa Lavene Moore was born on June 7, 1974 in Greensboro, NC to Cardelia Ann Moore and Jose Rene Gonzalvez. She attended Grimsley High School where she graduated in 1992. She later joined the United States Army, where she served proudly. over the years, Catressa's career path led to various jobs where she excelled in customer service and home health care. While she achieved many things, her greatest accomplishment was having a daughter, Tristan Simone. Many would ask how Tris got her middle name, but if you knew Catressa you knew she was an 'old soul in a young body' she had a genuine love for classic music including blues and jazz, and although she loved Billie Holiday, Nina Simone was her all time favorite. Catressa was true to herself and was a free spirit here on earth, and with her newfound angel wings she will continue to soar. We mourn the loss of our beloved Catressa, but can rejoice in knowing that she was met in heaven with open arms by God and our loved ones who have passed on. She leaves to mourn her beautiful daughter Tristan, parents Cardelia & Jose and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
