Obituary

Catherine Evelyn Farrar Williamson was born on June 29, 1926 to Leah Bell Atkins and Jodie Farrar in Chatham County, North Carolina. She held a variety of jobs over the course of her lifetime. She married Edward Williamson on November 6, 1954. To this union were born four children Clarence Williamson (Ann) of Greensboro, Evelyn Williamson of High Point, Loretta Land (Doug) of High Point, and Josephine Williamson of High Point. She leaves to mourn three precious grandchildren Chasity Land of High Point, Olivia Williamson of Raleigh, and Isaac Land of High Point. She was preceded in death by her husband Edward, her brothers Carl and Earl (twins), Allen, and DeLoyce and very special brother-in law Alonzo McCain in January of this year. She was also preceded in death by her sisters Mildred, Josephine and Doris as well as a set of stillborn triplets. Siblings left to cherish their fond childhood memories are her twin sister Pauline McCain, Reverend Anthony Farrar (Dianne) and special sisters raised with the family Ann Thorpe of Kannapolis and Dorothy Williams (Harvey) of Boston. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends to relish the fond memories of her drinking her Pepsi and letting them know that it is 9 pm and that they can stay if they want but she will talk to them later on. She would not be up past 9:00 pm. Her son-in-law once said that "mom does not ask for a lot just her paper, puzzles, and Pepsi" This was very true. Later on when her eyesight got a little worse, it became obvious what time it was by what she was watching on television. Her game shows during the day and wheel of Fortune at 7 every evening and her favorite the Golden Girls whenever she could. She was a loyal member of the Locust Grove Senior Choir and first aid until her health prevented her from attending services. Viewing will be held Wednesday May 13, 2020 6 pm - 8 pm. The Private Homecoming Service (Graveside Service) will be held at Locust Grove on Thursday May 14, 2020 at 3 pm.
