Obituary

Betty G Graves was born to Monroe and Betty H. Smith in Guilford County on June 1, 1936. God called her home to Glory on November 17, 2019.

Betty Gray attended and graduated from Brown Summit High School in Brown Summit, NC. She also attended North Carolina A&T State University, Greensboro, NC for two years. She was employed by several nursing homes in Greensboro, NC and also did domestic work.

Betty Gray was a very faithful member of the Locust Grove Baptist Church. She was a member of the first Junior Choir at Locust Grove. She enjoyed praising God and hearing God's word every Sunday. She loved her family, church family, and her pastor.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, and one sister.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories: one son, Royantae Guy (Jessica); two grandchildren, Roderick and Joy; one sister/niece, Myrtle Harris (Ike); other nieces, Uneda Foust (Harry Lee), Colletta Fair (Charles), Linda Williamson and Denise Smith; nephews, Willie Smith (Karen) and Johnny Smith, and a host of great, great-great, great-great-great nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

A service honoring her life will be held on Sunday November 24, 2019 at Locust Grove Baptist Church located at 4707 E. NC Hwy 150, Brown Summit, NC. The visitation will begin at 2:30pm and the service will follow at 3pm. Burial will be at the Locust Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
