Obituary

Betty Ann Williamson Foust, daughter of the late Paul and Melba Fuller Williamson was born in Guilford County on November 2, 1937 and departed this life on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 in her home in Sedalia, North Carolina. Betty accepted Christ as her Personal Savior at an early age and was baptized into the fellowship of McLeansville First Baptist Church, McLeansville, NC. She was an active and faithful member for many years until she joined Bethany Community Church, Sedalia, NC to be in service with her husband. She served the Bethany congregation faithfully as long as her health permitted. She was a loving and devoted, wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend to all that encountered her. Her kind heartedness and spirit will always be remembered by her family and friends. She was joined in Holy Matrimony to Roy L. Foust and to this union three children were born. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Jeanette Williamson, Mary L. Jones, and Leslie M. Williamson; brothers – Paul Williamson, Jr., Roy L. Williamson, Willie Williamson, and Robert O. Williamson and one great grandson. She leaves to cherish her legacy in addition to her husband, three children, Betty F. Wicker (Allan) Charlotte, NC; Rufus L. Foust, Whitsett, NC; Marvin D. Foust, Burlington, NC; grandchildren, Jarred and Brittany Rankin, Greensboro, NC; Martina Holt, High Point, NC; Reid Burton, Elon, NC; Marissa Foust, Pineville, WV; Keziah Beasley, Burlington, NC; three great grandchildren. Three sisters, Parthenia Shoffner and Helen King, Greensboro, NC; Garie Cleveland (David), Washington, DC; Sister-in-law, Sharon Williamson, Greensboro, NC; Aunt, Leslie Smith, New Haven, CT; a dedicated care giver and friend, Rachel Atoyebi, Greensboro, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A closed-casket public viewing will be held Friday September 25, 2020 from 6pm-8pm at the Cassie Coote-Brown Memorial Chapel of Perry J. Brown Funeral Home. A private graveside service will be held Saturday September 26, 2020 at Bethany Church Cemetery.
