Mrs. Barbara Hayes passed away on November 26,2021.

Barbara Jean Hayes was born to the late Charlie and Dorothy Milton on July 24, 1938. She departed this life on Friday, November 26, 2021 at the home.

Barbara was educated in the Guilford County School system. Later in life she married Elmer Hayes and from this union three sons were born, Lawrence, Tyrone and Dexter. Barbara was a quiet, loving and devoted mother.

Barbara was employed by Donny Industries, and later served 30 years at Friends Home until her retirement. Barbara was also a faithful member of Love and Faith Ministry until her health began to fail.

Barbara is preceded in death by her two sons: Lawrence and Tyrone.

She leaves to remember her life: one sister – Mrs. Dorothy Milton Hendricks; one son: Dexter Hayes of the home; four granddaughters – Alisha, Asia, Nicole and Angie; one grandson – Dexter Hayes, Jr.; two great grandchildren, cousins and very good friends: Michael Pickett and his sister Pam.

A Public Viewing will be held on Friday, November 3, 2021 from 3pm-5pm in the Cassie Coote-Brown Memorial Chapel at Perry J. Brown Funeral Home.

A celebration of her Life Service will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 1:00 pm in the Cassie Coote-Brown Memorial Chapel at Perry J. Brown Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 12:30 pm.
