Obituary

Sister Australia Richardson passed away peacefully at the age of 92 on Sunday, February 6, 2022, Beacon Place.

Sister Richardson was born February 21, 1929, Rockingham County, North Carolina, and was raised in Guilford County by her loving parents Josephine and Jesse Morehead. She attended Guilford County public schools and graduated from Brown Summit school.

During her time of living in Kansas City she was a faithful member of Second Metropolitan Baptist Church. She sang in the choir and was a Deaconess.

After returning home to North Carolina, she joined Higher Ground Ministries where she remained faithful until the end.

Sister Richardson is survived by her husband, Ronald Richardson; one son, Joseph B. Herbin, Sr. (Linda); two grandsons, Joseph B. Herbin, Jr (TaNisha) and Daniel Herbin (Jabrelle); six great-grandchildren; one brother, William Henry Morehead of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; two sisters, Doris Lindsay (Earl) and Ethel Morehead both of Greensboro, North Carolina, and a host of other relatives and friends.

A service honoring her life will be held on Monday, February 14, 2022 at 11:00 am at Higher Ground Ministries 107 Whittington Street, Greensboro, NC 27401.
