GREENSBORO â?? Annie Ruth Powell, 67, entered heaven on Friday, December 14, 2012 in Greensboro, NC after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Annie was born November 16, in Chesterfield, SC to the late Willie C. Hipps and Annie J. Hipps. Annie graduated from Gary High School in South Carolina where she excelled as an honor student. After high school she then relocated to Greensboro, NC and furthered her education at GTCC to enhance her skills as what she had compassion for the most, nursing. Annie was employed in the Cone Health System for over 25 years. Annie always had a special love for her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter Joyce Greene. Survived to cherish her memories is her loving husband Earnest Powell, Three sons, John Kelvin Greene, Jarrell Lamont Powell, and Jarvis Lee Powell. Annie is also survived by her grandchildren, siblings, a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Arrangements for Annie Powell are as follows: Wednesday, December 19, visitation: 12 p.m. until 12:30 p.m. Homecoming Celebration: 12:30 p.m. at United True Holiness Church, 901 Broad Ave. Greensboro, NC 27406 Burial: Guilford Memorial Park, 6000 High Point Rd., Greensboro, NC.
