Annie L. King was born June 22, 1939 in Bladen County, North Carolina to the parents of the late Otto & Archie Lee Lesane. As the sun slipped from sight on May 3, 2015 at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, NC, our Heavenly Father called Annie L. King's name and she answered quietly and peacefully and was called from her earthly labors to receive her heavenly reward. She was preceded in death by her parents the late Otto & Archie Lee Lesane and sister: Lorraine Lawrence. On July 27, 1976, Annie L. King was united in Holy Matrimony to Tim David King. Annie L. King was educated in the Bladen County School System. She was a 1956 graduate of Bladen County Training School, Elizabethtown, NC. She earned a Bachelor Degree from NC A&T State University in Physical Education. She worked at Cone Mills (White Oak Plant) until retirement. She was a dedicated worker for over 25 years. She was loved by all who came in contact with her because of her giving spirit. Annie L. King leaves to cherish fond memories and lots of love, husband: Tim King; son: Antwane King both of Greensboro, NC; sister: Jackie Gray of Norfolk, VA; nephews: Donte Gilmore (Vickie) of Chesapeake, VA; Reginald Perkins (Lisa) of Greensboro, NC; great nephews: Reginald Perkins, Jr. and Jordan Perkins both of Greensboro, NC; sisters-in-law: Louvehia King of Reidsville, NC, Eva King of Washington, DC, Katie King, Mary Kirby (June), and Bertha Glass all of Danville, VA; brothers-in-law: Earnest L. Lawrence of Elizabethtown, NC, Jessie King of Washington, DC, Clyde King (Debbie) of Maryland, Joseph King, Barry King, Andra Farmer, all of Blairs, Virginia, Troy King of Greensboro, NC and Perry King of Danville, Virginia; and numerous other close friends and relatives.
